Junior volunteers help us continue our mission of motivating the community to experience the world through scientific exploration.

An ideal candidate is curious, energetic, and loves to do hands-on activities. As an Atlas Science Center junior docent, you will help the education staff bring exhibits and interactive activities to life. We will train you to assist our educators with paper labs, science stage presentations, and field trip programming. You will gain insight and experience of what goes on behind the scenes in non-for-profit organizations and how our work impacts the community.

We consider our junior docents an integral part of our team. If this sounds interesting to you and you would like to join us this summer, please contact:

Claudia Damiani, Lead Educator, at claudia@paperdiscoverycenter.org.

Things to consider:

Shifts are three hours long. We would appreciate it if our junior docents can do 1-2 shifts per week, starting on the week of June 20th (Wednesdays to Saturdays). This is a volunteer position, any previous engagements or other activities you need to do, will be taken into account when scheduling your shifts at ASC. After summer, if you would like to continue volunteering, we can work out a shift that fits your regular schedule.
