Sustainable Solutions Theater Exhibit

Have you ever wondered why some items get recycled, composted or tossed into the landfill? How does composting work? What are you those different numbers on various plastics and what do they have to do with chemistry? Do landfills ever close? Our interactive recycling game will answer all these questions and more as you learn about the best ways to dispose of everyday items.

In addition to our recycling content, EnTech Solutions is sponsoring an area in our theater to learn all about clean energy solutions. Investigate the science of solar power, how microgrids and electric vehicle charging work and how to make renewable gas from waste with a hands-on activity. A video will take you through every step of anaerobic digestion on a farm; how you make power from poop!

Finally, we’ll feature “sustainable swaps” that you can incorporate into your everyday life. Small changes that we can stick with are important to our overall carbon footprint. Learn about just a few that you can do right away in your own home and school.
